Public and Administrative
Sometimes the actions of a local authority or central government are open to challenge by way of a process known as judicial review. I have in the past represented individual objectors, local authorities and central government in the Court of Session before a single judge and also before three judges on appeal (known as the Inner House) in matters of public law.
In addition, I have served as standing junior counsel to the Scottish Government for the past six years and have acted in a variety of areas for it specifically, including property law, planning and agriculture. I am not precluded from acting against any Government Department by reason of being a standing junior.
